Community Meeting

Date: March 5, 2026 Format: Google Meet call (~1 hour 15 minutes)
Chaired by Daniel T., with board members, leads, and ~75 community members at peak

Overview

Fifth community meeting of the Nobodies Collective Asociación (NCA). Updates on event site options, organisational infrastructure, pre-production readiness, ticket sales strategy, the board’s Go/No-Go statement, volunteer recruitment, and marketing.

Key Topics

New Site Option (Pablo)

  • Presented a potential alternative site: larger area, lower cost (~10,000 EUR for 60% of the area)
  • Would require significant infrastructure investment if used this year: lightning rods, land flattening, road construction, city planning adaptation, barrier and power system changes
  • General consensus is to continue with the current site this year but hold a Meta Leads meeting to formally evaluate
  • Future equipment purchases can be planned with the new site in mind

Legal and Organisational Infrastructure (Pepe)

  • Legal workstreams in progress: intellectual property guidelines (framework in 2–3 weeks), GDPR compliance (Pepe appointed Data Protection Officer), contractual arrangements for ticketing
  • Detailed breakdown with 3–6 month timelines to be presented at next community call

Event Name

  • The community is choosing a name for the event (26 options, poll closing 6 March)
  • Community members asked not to refer to the event using names belonging to other organisations

Membership vs. Collaborators Clarification

  • Barrio members only need basic contact information
  • FAQ posted on Discord explaining differences between members, collaborators, and volunteers

  • Refund policy for early buyers being developed, tied to ticketing milestones

  • Board released a detailed statement on Discord
  • Decision to proceed was not taken lightly; full range of community opinions seriously considered
  • Moving ahead viewed as an opportunity to build strong foundations for the association
  • Board members noted their personal legal stakes, reinforcing commitment to responsible decision-making
