Daniel T: SoundCloud. Okay.
Raffaella: Hola. I think they're so bad.
Daniel T: Inside you'll be able to see yourself as I did. Everything always works out in my favor. The universe supports me in every way. I trust that life is unfolding perfectly for me. Good things are always coming my way. Every challenge leads to a greater blessing. Solutions find me effortlessly. My life flows with ease and grace. The best outcome. In my sness, soil and metal, twine, and it's metal. Yet I seek the light in its death. And as I breathe the last of my breaths, I find you. I find you in this life. And the next I find you something I dream my way. For each time and decade in trouble, this soulless agreements might path to a rebellious states as I carve my way. I am always in the right place at the right time. My life is filled with abundance and joy. Everything I need.
Daniel T: In this deep dark matter, I speak to find my words in the song of a flower, a lover. The universe always provides for my life. For each shall dance with me in my hour of rest as I embody my body in my universe. I live and breathe it inity and escape into things my way. every challenge. Since the last time I saw you, my demons, I still feel the devil to see yourself once. My journey is divinely guided. The last time I saw you, my demonst yourself as clearly as I once did. I might be excited. I sure am tired. You're always in my vision of sight. Ever since my eyes tight. You never say thank you. Not even please. Once again, pulling my hair along the breeze. Feelings of peace. Feeling feeling my skin. What do I beame in this desert of the eras of singe the heat and the breeze she is eager to please surrender to the flow gently.
Daniel T: Gently, gently rocking your cold. interim feelings of peace. Feeling you never tell me thank you. Not even please again. My knees intimated feelings of peace. My hair breeze feelings of peace. Yes, you give me feelings of peace.
Pepe C: All right, fantastic. Thank you, DJ Daniel, for entertaining us with amazing music. Welcome, hippies. My name is Pepe and I will be walking you through a bunch of exciting announcements today. I do not have my legal hat today, but I do have my MC hat and I will put it on to carry on this meeting. Allow me to adjust my teeth. Perfect. We are now ready to go on adventures. The first item of our agenda today is our legal update which will be presented by yours truly. This week I have excellent news for all of you. We had a very productive meeting with Paloma and Erin which I believe are on the call. We made a lot of progress in the paperwork for the containers and we are confident that by early next week we will have a signed contract and we will gain operational control of this critical asset.
Pepe C: So, everyone is ready to go on the ground and start building super cool things. As every week, I would like everyone to take a pinch of a second and do some congratulations to Erin and Paloma for being so helpful. I know this is a lot of extra work on their plate and uh they're being complete troopers. So, please give it up to them. They are really pouring everything they have and we couldn't be more grateful for their contribution, their gift to this event. Um, I will stop right here to see if anyone has any questions. Yes. Yes. Show me all those hands. Show me all those hands for Erin Paloma. Thank you people. Do we have any questions on the chat? I don't believe there are any. There's just a lot of love. I love it. Yes. Yes. Come on, guys. Give me all the hat below. Fantastic. If there are no questions, I will move on to the next item of the agenda, which is going to be a big announcement by Pablo.
Pepe C: So Pablo, please unmute yourself and uh give us this big piece of
Pablo V: Let's do it. So after after one of the most talked about uh votes in organization's history uh we have the results uh several papers covered covered the topic. Um basically after the vote um we proposed a bunch of options. We did it initially um with the idea that we would propose more options that we think would work uh with the idea that we would discard the ones that don't and after discarding the ones that in consultation uh with legal um we have decided to to discard uh we ran some statistical analysis and thank you for the group that joined to brainstorm and to analyze this data join um if you are curious to see that the results are on discord alternative event name and uh the winner was elsewhere. So uh elsewhere like not here is somewhere else elsewhere. Um that name is now on effectively or working title. Uh we're going to start using it immediately for all operational matters and within the next few days we would have the final the final confirmation that is completely clear to use.
Pablo V: But because this is a critical a critical uh decision that affects some working groups like communications, ticketing and so on. Uh from now on the the name that we're working on is elsewhere and basically everything moves forward. Uh should there be should there be any concern which uh we anticipate uh there shouldn't be but should there be something we will know in a few days and uh every basically everybody would know as soon as possible. So that's the update elsewhere.
Pepe C: Amazing. Thank you very much, Pablo Dankash. And guys, you wanted a name. We gave you a name. This summer, you are not going nowhere. You're going elsewhere. Remember that. You are now going elsewhere. Print it in your heads. Get a tattoo on your forehead. We are all going elsewhere. And this is how we're going to talk about it in a funny way and in a real legalistic way. So, thank you, Pablo. This is very exciting and thank you for all the hard work getting to this piece of our progress.
Pepe C: And now we are moving to a technical wonder of discovery. I'm going to have Peter on mute and give us an update on humans and fists. Peter, are you there?
Peter D: I I am here. Excuse me. Um so humans is out. Many of you are in it. Um it's become our our hub for managing teams and and resources access. Um if people are having any trouble with it, please let me know. We added roles to it yesterday. Um and that's getting filled out and flushed out so that that can kind of be the home for that to live. Fist has been renamed Vim uh the volunteer information manager um for request of things not conflicting with the past. Um I'll just leave it at that. That is in progress. It's getting a facelift to have a similar color scheme to uh to humans and hopefully to integrate with humans so people don't have to red duplicate all their things, but that's that's a question of development time and um and effort to make that happen.
Peter D: Um, but that's in progress with the team to to get the roles and shifts in there as soon as possible. Um, that's the highest level of bullet points I can think of. Does anybody have any questions?
Pepe C: Amazing.
Peter D: I'm happy to say that's it then. Back to you, Pepe. That's
Pepe C: Thank you very much, Peter,
Peter D: right.
Pepe C: for this now no longer fisting update. I am so happy that we are giving this uh faceelift and a Brazilian butt lift and all the lift that we can because elsewhere needs a rebound. Amazing. Moving on, I will have Peter again give us a quick update on our budgeting forecast. So, Peter, tell us how's the money bling bling going, my man?
Peter D: Um, we're in progress to open the bank account. That's that's the obviously a clerical factor u blocker. Uh but we have had some people go to the bank every day this week in person to to force the issue and that seems to have an effect.
Peter D: Um beyond that we are divying the budget into a weekly budget basically going forward. Um so for a cash flow analysis when we expect may have payments made um and when we do discussions with vendors for when things have to get paid for deposits and and you know some some are after some before they bent. Um so that should get flushed out a lot more in the next week. Um and then that'll start tying into the revenue side of things where we have money coming in hopefully soon. So um yeah, that's uh that some people often I get asked a lot like when our first payments are basically needed to come due. Um and a new one came up to me today actually. The um containers do have a relatively soon deposit that needs to go down. So that's the that's the first thing that's before May. Um, and yeah, other than that, everything has been May or later so far. So that's the current status of the finances.
Pepe C: Amazing. Thank you, Peter.
Pepe C: If you guys have any questions for Peter who is making money make sense. How nice it is to have someone make money make sense. Like guys, it's really not easy to manage this. This is a complicated thing. So, give it up for Peter who is making a lot of sense. And now moving to the next item of our agenda. We are going to have Frank the Tank give us a clear rundown of recruitment. and tell us what's happening. Who's hiding? What's popping? What do we need? What do we have? Tell us.
Frank F: Nice. Um, yeah. So, top level situation is pretty good. We have coordinators for all departments but one. So, that's a good place to be at. Uh, there's a couple of roles I'm going to highlight right now. If you know anybody who might potentially be interested in doing them, please connect them with me. Um, those roles are ticketing. I mean, as the tickets go out, I don't think it's a bottleneck for tickets to go out, but we really need somebody to lead the process.
Frank F: And as a bonus, that team already has a team. There's a bunch of people who volunteer to support. Uh, we just need somebody who will be on top of everybody on everything. Um, then we need a strike lead. That position is still unfilled. Uh, if anybody's interested about more details and can't find them, please get in touch. Uh we have quite extensive job descriptions for these things. Uh barrier support strike lead uh that's also hanging in the air. Would be super nice to get it done sooner than later. And we have the container coordinator that Yeah, there you go. An is very happy uh if we can find a strike coordinator. Um yeah, and the last one is the container coordinator. There is also some support already available. Um, but we need somebody to do the admin stuff and coordination leading up to the event. I'm not going to go into the other roles. We're going to get them up on the site up on the fist as soon as possible.
Frank F: Um, if you haven't been if you haven't found the role but you have some ideas, please get in touch with me and we'll find something that's appropriate and suited for you. Any questions? And that's it.
Pepe C: All right. Thank you very much, Frank. I have one question for you. If I was a magical genie and I could give you one of these roles higher today, which one would it be?
Frank F: Uh, ticket please.
Pepe C: All right, ticket list. Perfect. Let's see what we can do. We have a bunch of people on this call. Does anyone have experience interest in taking on this ticketing? And we see some hands. Anyone? Anyone? Out of all these people that want to go and party their ass off in the desert, anyone has any interest in um helping Frank the Tank do this ticketing? Show me some interest. We just need one. Only one person,
Alessia C: I don't have any I don't have any experience in leading it,
Pepe C: guys.
Alessia C: but I can help if need be.
Pepe C: Perfect. So, reach out to Frank. You can figure out if you are the next lead. And if you are, welcome. And if not, you are on board. Fantastic. Frank, there you go. Come to me when you have more wishes. Moving on to our next item of the agenda, we have a ticketing update by our house resident AI expert, Daniel. Well, Daniel, are you there?
Daniel T: I am here and hopefully my sound is actually working. Yeah. Can I pin myself uh for everyone? Pinning and like managing the thing at the same time is looking difficult. Anyway, uh yeah, so obviously everybody's very uh keen and excited to uh buy tickets as soon as possible. We're very keen and excited to sell tickets as soon as possible. Um we were hoping to actually open it today. We need a little bit more time, just a little bit. We're aiming for Saturday now and you know we'll we'll we'll see we'll we maybe we can pull it in earlier but like let's say Saturday and um it's worth noting that so one of the things that just threw us off is that uh there is um for people who are
Daniel T: uh core contributors usually there is some kind of way to get a discount on tickets. Obviously, since this is the first event, uh we don't have past core contributors listed, but the way that we thought to do that is people who are listed on the humans app. So, this is your encouragement if you haven't signed up to the humans app yet, sign up to the humans app. Um if you know somebody else who's in your team who would want to like uh get one of those uh slightly discounted tickets, get them to sign up on the humans app. Uh the humans apply where it's at. people who own the humans app will get uh uh discount code um and um they'll be able to buy the tickets slightly cheaper um I don't know if there are any questions about this um if there are we can take them or we can you can ask them in chat or you can ask them on discord you can ask them anywhere you want and most importantly you can ask them of the ticketing lead once we have a ticketing leads um to uh answer A Zuro, it looks like you have your hand
Azzurro B: Yes.
Daniel T: up.
Azzurro B: So it's like just like for example is it just enough to sign up at the humans app or do I also need to contribute like just like worst case
Daniel T: So, at the moment, as I understand it,
Azzurro B: scenario.
Daniel T: we'll send it to everybody who's signed up on the humans app. Um, if we were doing this next year, it might be just collaborators or like, you know, members first and collaborators. But right now, there's about 160 people signed up on the on the humans app. Um, I mean, if we double that by tomorrow, then fantastic. Um, like that would be a great result. Uh, but I expect that it's probably not going to double by tomorrow. Although, who knows? So everybody invites one person, you know, that that would double. Um the Does that answer your
Azzurro B: uh yes and no.
Daniel T: question?
Azzurro B: So I know I'm if I'm signing up there then I will like to contribute and I will find a way to contribute.
Azzurro B: But it was like it was like if somebody says,
Daniel T: Yeah.
Azzurro B: "Oh, I'm a sparkle pony."
Daniel T: Um, yes, but in order to find out about this, they'd have to be in touch with one of us dusty ponies. And um, so they're probably not quite a sparkle pony by the time they're they're hanging out with us, right? I mean, maybe there's going to be one or two sparkle ponies that get in. That's an acceptable cost, I guess. Uh, I there's a calculus there. Um, Justin asks worth reminding people what the function of the humans app is. It's basically the where we track all the volunteers and collaborators and members and track also what uh like allow allow you to see uh what agreements you've signed up to like so we can cover you under the GDPR umbrella. We can cover you we can have an IP agreement so you're able to contribute things to to NCA. Uh importantly I want to emphasize that NCA does not take ownership of any IP that you contribute. we just get a license to use it, but you still own anything that you contribute to NCA.
Daniel T: Um, and inevitably because it's an app that contains all the people, it will grow and add more functions as time passes and also because Peter is a sort of machine that seems to uh uh can't help himself. Uh, I once asked him if he there was anything he couldn't do and he said sit still. Um, and we're going to see that on the development of of the humans app, I guess. and Peter's answered there. There you go. Oh, yeah. And one of the cool things it does is instead of having this rabbit's warren of um drive permissions where somebody needs to manually update who's got access to what part of the drive and so on, um humans automatically creates the the drives automatically assigns automatically creates mailing lists for people like so there's a group mailing list for say canina it will automatically create that cantina group. It will automatically put people who are in the cantina group on humans into that mailing list. So they receive those emails. So it does a lot of stuff automatically that uh was done manually which is going to save us all a lot of time.
Daniel T: I think I'm done with this item. So I'll hand back to you.
Pepe C: Thank you, Daniel.
Daniel T: Okay.
Pepe C: Thank you,
Daniel T: I'll pin you.
Pepe C: Daniel. I have a question for everyone on this call who has ever been on an email thread. How many times you join a new place, organization, group of friends, and you have no clue what's happening because someone didn't add you to the WhatsApp group, because someone didn't add you to the mailing list, because someone didn't add you to the whatever Slack Discord channel. Let me see hands. Let me see hands. Thank you everyone. Yes, fantastic. So, we've now figured out a way to prevent this from happening. People join, they automatically get added. But for that beautiful piece of engineering to work, we need your help getting these people to sign up to the portal. So, one of my favorite burning principles is each one teach one. So maybe if each of us in this call can teach one person in the next 48 hours where the portal is and ask them to sign up, we will have 15 new people sign up tomorrow.
Pepe C: Can I get a loose commitment from everyone on this call to be a really good burner and teach one this beautiful information that you just heard. Very simple. Each one teach one. This is how we do it in the desert. Let's do it in the concrete. Amazing. You guys are f****** rock stars. I love this. Moving on to our next agenda item. We have a coms update by the one and only Shauna and her team. Shauna,
Daniel T: I I I think Sean is not here,
Pepe C: are you there for
Daniel T: but I also noticed David has his hand raised.
Pepe C: us?
Daniel T: Don't know if that's David wants to speak. You probably can't see it on your phone.
Pepe C: Anyone on the com team? Anyone on the com team? Please comes to us.
Daniel T: There isn't But David, do you want to speak? No. Okay. Um there isn't anyone from the com team, but they left an update.
Daniel T: So, I'll read the update. Um, and the update is that the newsletter will go out this week as soon as they have the dates to expect tickets. And maybe one more thing, great traction with WhatsApp and the Telegram group. They think WhatsApp could break a thousand people today or tomorrow. Instagram is opening as soon as they have the official NCA emails. And they're working on building a new weekly type survival guide so that important info that you need to survive is even easier to search and interact with. Um, so that's the update from coms. who are doing a a a difficult job of staying on top of the chaos of uh all the stuff that's happening at incredible pace uh here.
Pepe C: Thank you very much proxy for the coms team. Any question guys about this uh statement? We may not have an answer but we can definitely take your question to the right person and get back to you in 24 hours. Question questions going once, going twice, going thrice. Fantastic.
Pepe C: You guys are so smart. You get everything and there are no questions. I love smart people. There's nothing better than smart motivated hippies. It's like life-changing force of nature. Moving on to our last item of the agenda. We have a power update from the power team. So power team, can you unmute and give us a great update? I believe it will be cupcakes.
Cupcake: Yes. Hello.
Pepe C: Finish.
Cupcake: Um, so I uh I'm the new power coordinator. I'm I'm sort of just getting started, but uh we're we're getting there. Uh good news is we have all of the pre-event uh roles covered. Uh we've got support on the red grid,
Pepe C: Amazing.
Cupcake: the yellow grid, uh great volunteer coordinator, and lots of members that are experienced from last year. everyone is raring and ready to go. Um, power architects have all sorts of fun ideas and uh are excited about it. Um, but there are there's still room for more architects if anyone is looking for um nerdy adventures like that.
Cupcake: Um, and yeah, that's it. We're going to start reaching out to everyone for their power needs soon, but um for the moment it's just getting going.
Pepe C: I love hearing this update. Welcome cupcake. Uh, can anyone glaze this cupcake? Cuz we need a lot of power to have this massive, massive mass house in the desert. We're so excited to have you. And this, ladies and gentlemen, and creatures of the universe, the binary, non-binary, and anything in between, is the end of our meeting. I believe this has been the most efficient meeting I have been to. I'm very happy that we can finish and give you four minutes of your time unless you have any questions, any sexy stories, um any kumbaya tails or other adventures to share with the community. Wow. Tell us, tell us, man. What's
Joao T: Yeah, ju just to keep the tradition not to say I haven't asked any questions on this meeting. Uh so about the the humans app platform however calling it. Uh Daniel said that if you signed up there, you will get a discount on the tickets.
Joao T: But at this point, do we just want everyone that we can to sign up there? And besides getting a discount on the tickets, what's the the motivation for people to sign up? Is that is humans for sure going to be integrated fist? And then if you sign up to humans, you don't need to sign up to fist or would you need to sign up to both? Do well we will we need to sign up to humans to also buy a ticket later. Uh yeah well let let's start with
Daniel T: I'll answer part of the question then let Peter maybe answer the the second part.
Joao T: that.
Daniel T: Uh no humans sign up is not required. Uh and we're not really saying go and tell everybody to sign up to humans. We're saying go and tell people who are contributors like so the original thinking was um people who have been core contributors get a little discount. Usually they get access to the sales earlier. Um ticket unfortunately doesn't support having a restricted sale of only one set of tickets.
Daniel T: So we won't be able to do quite that but we can still give a little discount to the people who are uh who we think are core contributors. Now we can't identify magically who the core contributors are from uh another event but we can assume that people who are signing up to to humans who are applying to be collaborators who are like who are involved at this point are likely to be the kind of people who will get stuff done. Um, I don't think it would be helpful to go and invite everybody who you know is going to be a sparkle pony to to to humans. We can't stop you if you do that. If they do sign up, they sign up. I don't think that's going to be a majority of sign up. We don't expect that. Um, and ideally like one of the use case I see is you know if you have a team for example let's say you have other people on the welfare team and you uh I forgot to pin myself and you um want to uh make sure they have early access to the tickets then you might tell them hey sign up to the the humans uh humans app this year it's not early access it's just
Joao T: Right. Okay.
Daniel T: a little discount but it's a recognition of the contribution of
Joao T: Right. Because as you were saying,
Daniel T: So,
Joao T: did previous years, previous volunteers get got discounts or just early access? Because as far as I can remember, it was just early access. No actual discount. Everyone paid the same. Or am I
Daniel T: so as I understand it from having had way more conversations about ticketing than uh in the
Joao T: wrong?
Daniel T: last few days than I had in the rest of my life put together, um the the way the system used to work is that uh nowhere you well so an event in the desert used to sell out um and uh because it used to sell out people got really anxious about getting tickets and then it wasn't cool if like you know core contributors who are putting the event together are getting really anxious about getting tickets so then there was this system of getting them early access to tickets and then in the last few years uh the event in the deserts didn't sell out and uh this kind of morphed into this sort of like uh slightly nicer deal for or an earlier purchase of tickets still for uh core contributors and that was the the historical basis for that.
Daniel T: Does that answer your
Joao T: Okay. Yeah. But essentially,
Daniel T: question?
Joao T: regardless of how it happened in the past, this year, if you're on the humans app, you're going to get a
Daniel T: Yeah.
Joao T: discount.
Daniel T: and invite people who are, you know, like part of the reasoning we had because we thought we're going to be able to open to only people who uh are on the humans app was that people who sign up on the humans app in uh on 12th of March probably uh will sign up on Fist even if Fist is not quite set up yet and we wanted to wait a little bit to open uh to to open the full ticket sale. As it is, we'll have to open the full ticket sale at one time, but we decided to keep that. Um, Peter, there was a question about fist and um uh humans integration or vim and humans
Joao T: Yeah.
Daniel T: integration. Are you still here? Do you want to check that? I I I think taking
Peter D: I am still here. Um, sorry, eating. Um, I missed the question, but I the there is it came up today that we'd like to integrate them possibly. Um, it's just a question of development time and and what's feasible without breaking Fist.
Daniel T: taking
Joao T: right? So, it's likely yes,
Peter D: Um,
Joao T: but not necessarily sure at this point.
Peter D: it's it's more like we might have to make bigger changes than we want to for Fist to make that work. Um, and literally this idea is less than 12 hours old. Um, so it hasn't had a chance to cook um,
Joao T: So it's more undecided at the
Peter D: in my brain.
Joao T: moment but but
Peter D: Yeah. Yeah. It's just being evaluated like looking at the trying to figure out what the options are,
Joao T: okay
Peter D: what makes the most sense with the time we
Joao T: but but things are true then that if you are volunteer you're going to need to sign fist
Peter D: have.
Joao T: and humans maybe they're going to be integrated maybe not okay
Peter D: Correct.
Daniel T: that a little bit,
Pepe C: This
Daniel T: not all uh volunteers end up having to have um uh a
Joao T: No.
Daniel T: fist uh like hold on Peter,
Peter D: years.
Daniel T: you're I'm going to mute you.
Peter D: purchase
Daniel T: Um yeah,
Pepe C: Abree.
Daniel T: the not not for example, the consent team doesn't have shifts during the event. So they don't have shifts on on fist or whatever, but they would still be collaborators. So not everybody who's a collaborator will have shifts. So that those are two separate concepts like Vim now is for for shifts whilst uh Yeah. Cool.
Joao T: Cool. Thank you.
Daniel T: Did we lose? No,
Pepe C: Thank you guys.
Daniel T: there he is.
Pepe C: I'm I'm everywhere. I'm like humidity. I'm everywhere. Well, thank you guys for these questions, for these answers. If there is nothing more, I will send you off with the rest of your beautiful evenings, mornings, nights, whatever you may be.
Daniel T: I I think hold on I think there might be some questions in the chat.
Pepe C: You have one more.
Daniel T: Just read this.
Pepe C: Let me see.
Daniel T: Is there a set time when set amount of tickets should be sold? Like is there a hard stop event if not if not enough tickets are sold by a certain date? Um Peter, do you want to take that?
Peter D: Yeah, I mean ultimately if we got to the beginning of May and had only sold like 300 tickets, that would be a problem. Um, everybody more than a few people have asked for extreme clarity on this and this is a thing that just is not clear. Um, we're we're we're making educated guesses based on human behavior um and doing our best, right, to plan accordingly. So it's it's the least black and white part of our my job unfortunately kind of uh yeah I mean if if we had half a million euros in the bank and could could write a buffer out then that would make the question a lot easier.
Peter D: Um but yeah, so some essentially as ticket sales start going, we're going to have projections for where we're going to end up and then that's going to cause an adjustment to where we spend money in certain places. Um how much we can spend on other things and that just gets adjusted as we go. Um but if we if we do make it to like the beginning of basically the beginning of May with drastically too few tickets, that would be a problem. Um and we'll deal with that. But the the challenge here is to not talk about that so much that it critters our ticket sales. Um is the is the blunt version of that story. Um so our break even is like 70% of the sales of last year. Um so that should be quite doable even at this late start. Um and then anything after that is is gravy and we can adjust and have more toilets and you know things like that. So, hope that answers the question.
Pepe C: Thank you Peter.
Pepe C: It is important to notice that we are being extremely extremely conscious of cash. We are playing with as many automations as the universe allows which are allowing us to reduce cost and reduce time of some services. We also have a larger team contributing which enables for multiple streams working at the same time which makes us leaner and faster and cheaper. So um rest assure that everyone is working into making the most affordable possible events so we don't have these concerns at a later stage. We will get to this critical mass that we need because hippies need to party and we are organizing the best party anyone has ever seen in the desert. And I think Jonas has a question.
Jonas L: Uh yes, I have a question. How is it going on with the associates? So how many are there? And do they or do we um throw money into the
belen on: Andic.
Jonas L: association instead of a ticket? I heard that there was uh this idea so that association has not to pay the vit.
Pepe C: The question is, can you rephrase the question?
Daniel T: this I I I think I got the question. I think I can I can handle that one. So um essentially so right now the the reality is we have only eight uh members which are the board. Um we hate that like we've published the membership criteria a while ago. Uh the only reason why we are still in the state is because there is an amendment we want to put in before having a load of uh members that would enable um the board I believe to do um uh asynchronous uh voting because right now in order to make any decision as a board we have to get everybody to like join a board meeting and that slows things down. We expect that there will be some times in the future where we might have to make decisions where we need to move a bit more quickly and having a synchronous decision making uh will help and right now the statutes don't allow that and this is the kind of change that is easier to make right now when it's just eight members and we were hoping to have the entire board and make the decision today.
Daniel T: We were hoping to have it to do it Monday then it got delayed today and it looks like it's going to be this this coming Monday. As soon as that's done there there's about if I look at the humans app there's about um well it doesn't have accounts but there's quite a lot of uh people who we've like uh who have applied to be associates we will start approving and they will be associates on the on the system um and long as people meet the the criteria then we will be um uh approving them as associates um in terms of so there was another bit of the question which was I've blanked out now it was slightly more complicated can you repeat that last bit Jonas about a VAT
Peter D: What was it about that?
Jonas L: Yeah.
Daniel T: right so our understanding at the moment is that um if we start selling memberships that come with a ticket uh like the author tax authorities might say oh you're just trying to dodge VAT so we're not doing that um we will sell tickets. You can also make donations.
Daniel T: We cannot, you know, have you make a donation that's tax free and then get a free ticket. That would be again trying to dodge VAT once. I believe once we get uh yeah, we have a lower VAT compared to what the company would have to pay. I believe that once we have uh full nonprofit status, which will take a couple of years, we should be able then to sell tickets with zero VAT. That's my understanding. But that will take a couple of years. So for now we'll have 10% V which is half of uh what a company needs to
Jonas L: Okay. Also, if we we would do that with the VAT,
Daniel T: pay.
Jonas L: then the the association would be in the red numbers more and more.
Daniel T: Yeah. Uh so if sorry doing the red numbers what do you
Jonas L: in debt.
Daniel T: mean
Jonas L: So that which we will just accumulating debt.
Daniel T: if we did what with the
Jonas L: Ah,
Daniel T: vin
Jonas L: if if the associates put money into the association and we just spend it for the event.
Daniel T: and then need to pay for v. Yes.
Jonas L: Yeah.
Daniel T: I mean like basic accounting practice, we will of course be making sure we put the VT in an account so they can be paid out. Um if the ticket tailor doesn't even just do that automatically. I don't know. Um but yes, we will make sure that we uh we set aside VA of course like that's basic budgeting practice.
Pepe C: Thank you very much, Daniel. Do we have any other questions on the chat?
Daniel T: There is
Pepe C: Raphaela has a question. Please unmute. When a
Raffaella: Yeah, I maybe I lost the update,
Daniel T: one
Raffaella: but I saw the announcement for drawing our own logo. Is it like that? Is something I missed.
Daniel T: there. There was an announcement from coms. Unfortunately, nobody from coms is on the call right now. So, you might have to ping them maybe in the coms channel on the discord. I don't know what's what's happened with that.
Raffaella: Okay.
Daniel T: They haven't shared with us Do you
Raffaella: Okay. Okay. No, because uh I I was waiting for uh other update but I don't know if I lost them or not because we need as well a logo. No, now that we are going to go on with the ticketing all announcement stuff. So I think now should be the moment.
Daniel T: Yeah.
Raffaella: That's why asking
Daniel T: Yeah. I mean, we don't don't have one as far as I know. Um, yeah. They were waiting for the name reveal to open the lo Oh, right. So, they haven't opened the logo contest yet. Okay. We can sell tickets without a logo. It is possible.
Raffaella: Okay, we can start to sell ticket and then we will have our logo.
Daniel T: We let the logo.
Raffaella: No. Okay.
Daniel T: Yeah.
Raffaella: Okay.
Daniel T: Obviously, in an ideal world,
Raffaella: Byebye.
Daniel T: we'd have everything sorted ahead of time and everything would be perfect and uh but that wouldn't be uh festival in the desert.
Daniel T: That would be some kind of other thing,
Raffaella: Realistic.
Daniel T: right? I mean,
Raffaella: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Thanks.
Daniel T: cool. Uh cool. Let me turn myself.
Pepe C: All right. Any other questions?
Daniel T: There is one in the chat. Um, sorry.
Pepe C: What is the question?
Daniel T: God, I hear this spinning thing.
Pepe C: I cannot see it because I logged out. So I cannot see the chat. Can anyone share a question? Anyone read it out loud?
Daniel T: Yeah, the question is which will be the communication channel to sell the tickets? I've heard that it will only be through Telegram and WhatsApp. Is this true? Won't be announced on the website. Uh, I don't believe that's true. Um that's like it would we will try and sell tickets any way we can. Uh if we can convince anybody to tattoo the ticket URL to their arm and walk around with their arms up, we will
Azzurro B: There will be no ticket sales over the going nowhere website,
Pepe C: Yep,
Azzurro B: right?
Daniel T: Correct.
Pepe C: that is correct.
Daniel T: Like going nowhere is not organizing an event.
Pepe C: Remember that we are going elsewhere. So everything that you've ever encountered where you went nowhere, well now it stays nowhere and we all go elsewhere. That that's the the simple glitch. If it was nowhere, it stays nowhere and now you go elsewhere. That applies for all assets, accounts, WhatsApp, Facebook, uh, Telegram, uh, websites, and the likes. We all move elsewhere, which is nice to remember. All right, awesome. I believe there are no more questions on the chat. No, no, no. Final taker, thank you very much, guys. It's been my privilege to walk you through this journey of updates and excitement and adventures and volunteering. And we will see you next week on this adventure. Lots of love. Take care. Don't do anything crazy without me.
