What is Werkhaus?

Werkhaus is the barrio for people going all in. If you're arriving early to build the city, staying through to strike, or holding a year-round role — this is your home on site.

It's where the crew lives. The people you'll build alongside, eat with, problem-solve with at midnight, and end up knowing better than almost anyone else. Small crew energy with the whole event as your playground.

First time at Elsewhere? That's absolutely fine. If you've got a week to give before the gates open, you'll leave knowing how to build a city from scratch — and with people you won't forget.

What’s included

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Cantina throughout your stay — covered by the organisation.

Space & shade

Barrio infrastructure, shade structures, and camping space in the crew home.

Your people

A community of experienced, committed people who know how to get things done.

Early entry

You're already on site before the gates open. The event is yours from day zero.

€50 barrio fee, covers drinks and extras throughout your stay

Who is Werkhaus for?

Werkhaus is open to anyone who meets one of the following:

Pre-event

Set-up crew

Commit to at least one week on site during set-up before the gates open.

Event time

Volunteer shifts

Complete 20 hours of volunteer shifts during the event — or 16 hours if your shifts focus on critical roles (Malfare, site leads, Nomads, event maintenance, or fluffing).

Year-round

Organisational roles

Hold a year-round organisational role within the NCA.

Extra support this year

We’re offering travel expense reimbursements for volunteers who arrive early for set-up or stay through full strike. Combined with the €50 barrio fee, this significantly reduces the cost of going all-in.

Arriving early or staying for strike?

We’re offering travel expense reimbursements for set-up and strike volunteers this year. It’s not a discount on your ticket — it’s a reimbursement of actual travel costs, processed after the event.
