Board Statement: We’re Holding the 2026 Event

Full Statement from the Board Regarding the Go / No-Go Vote

Following the community vote, the Board (Junta Directiva) has formally ratified the community’s decision to proceed with an event this year.

We are a GO!

We’re grateful for everyone’s engagement in the consultation process — the turnout and thoughtful contributions show the vitality of this community. We also want to explicitly acknowledge those who voted No. Proceeding is not a rejection of your concerns. It is a commitment to address them actively and transparently.

On burnout. This was one of the clearest themes of the consultation, and the Board takes it seriously. No event is worth compromising the wellbeing of the people who make it possible. We are committed not just to organizing an event but to building a strong, effective organisation: distributing responsibility sustainably, building a broad volunteer base, and developing norms and processes of mutual support and care.

On financial risk. We will proceed with careful modeling, conservative projections, and phased decision points. Our goal is to deliver the event as efficiently as possible through innovative production and operations processes. The Association exists for the long-term flourishing of the community, and that means building a financial model that is sustainable year after year.

Uncertainties remain and risks still need to be managed. We are proceeding with preparations for a full-scale event, but we are also committed to anticipating contingencies, including with backup plans for alternative formats that honour our principles while adapting to whatever might come our way. We commit to transparency, responsiveness, and a willingness to course-correct.

Our immediate priority is getting tickets on sale. We expect them to be available within the next week or two.

The energy this community has already shown — in forming the Association, establishing governance, and engaging so fully in this process — has been extraordinary. Now is the time for anyone who wants to take part to get involved — for fresh energy, new ideas, and willing hands at every level. Go to humans.nobodies.team to register your interest.

See you on the playa.
